Steel Fence Wire, High Tensile
Steel Fence Wire, High Tensile
NEW! Steel fence wire, tensile strength class High Tensile. The steel wire is coated with a CrapalOptimum® zinc-aluminum-magnesium alloy with five times the protection against corrosion compared to a strongly galvanized (100% zinc) coating.
Two thicknesses:
- 2.0 mm, tensile strength 380 kg
- 2.5 mm, tensile strength 590 kg
Medium Tensile: Lower tensile strength, but higher elasticity.
High Tensile: higher tensile strength, but less elasticity.
High Tensile wire has a higher tensile strength than Medium Tensile wires and is stronger than Medium Tensile wires. The strong High Tensile yarn not only withstands the pull much better than the Medium Tensile yarn, but it also stretches significantly less when tightened than the Medium Class wire.
A stronger wire can be a little more challenging to handle when knotting than a more flexible Medium Tensile class wire. The manufacturer of High Tensile wire recommends using Gripple joiners for the fence.
Tip! Use a High Tensile reel when building a steel wire fence. The reel makes the wire easier to handle and prevents it from twisting.
